Privacy policy

The straightforward version is right here. Our guiding rule is simple: gather only what running a useful craps resource actually requires — nothing handed off to undisclosed trackers, nothing resold, and no behavioural profiles built to sell you ads.

What we collect

Anonymous reaction tallies. Tap 👍 or 👎 on a guide and we log your vote next to a one-way hash (SHA-256 of IP + user-agent + a salt that changes daily). Because the salt rotates every 24 hours, no hash can be matched from one day to the next, and the raw IP and user-agent are never written to disk.

Routine server logs. Our Cloudflare edge retains access records (IP, timestamp, requested URL) for seven days purely to block abuse. Nothing from these logs is piped into an analytics product.

Affiliate referral tags. Clicking a casino CTA mints a referral ID so the operator can credit the signup to us. No personal details flow back through this channel — we only ever see aggregate signup totals.

What we don't collect

Zero third-party analytics tags — no Google Analytics, no Meta Pixel, no Hotjar. No advertising cookies, no behavioural profiling, no selling of data, and no cross-site tracking pixels of any kind.

Since Craps.team has nothing to register for, there is simply no account to create. Outside the same-day anonymous reaction hash, we have no means of recognising you from one session to another.

Data retention

  1. 1

    Anonymous reaction logs

Kept indefinitely only as aggregates (counts per guide). Each individual vote is attached to the daily-rotating hash, which becomes unlinkable to your session the moment the day rolls over.

  2. 2

    Server access logs

Held at the Cloudflare edge for seven days as DDoS protection. No personal data is ever pulled out of them.

  3. 3

    Affiliate click IDs

Maintained inside the operator's own tracking stack, not ours. All we receive is aggregate counts.

  4. 4

    Email correspondence

Write to the editorial team and we retain the thread for 24 months so we can follow up. Ask us to delete it at the address below and we'll act within 30 days.

FAQ

Do you use cookies?
Exactly one, and it's essential: a cookie that remembers your language choice (`craps_locale`). Nothing else. No analytics, marketing, or third-party cookies — the consent banner on your first visit is asking only about that single functional cookie.
Can I request deletion of my data?
Absolutely — send your request to privacy@craps.team. Because there are no user accounts here, 'your data' only covers the items listed above. We'll confirm the deletion within 30 days.
Are you GDPR / CCPA compliant?
Yes. The lawful bases we rely on are legitimate interest (keeping the site running) and consent (for anything beyond that). Under both frameworks you may access, correct, and erase your data at any time.
