The best craps casinos

Plenty of sites spread craps; noticeably fewer are good places to play it. We look at what ordinary reviews leave out: the odds multiple the table allows, what the Field pays on the twelve, the minimum bet, and how craps counts towards bonus wagering.

What actually matters to a craps player

An ordinary casino review talks about the bonus and the number of slots. A craps player needs different data: what odds multiple the table allows, what the Field pays on the twelve, what the minimum bet is, and whether craps counts towards wagering at all.

The difference is not cosmetic. A table with 5× odds holds the house edge at about 0.37%; a table with 2× sits near 0.61%; with no odds at all it is 1.41%. Same rules, same sign above the door — and an hour of play that costs four times as much. No welcome package makes that back.

Operator by operator: what each is good at

The table above compares the casinos on numbers; this is the editorial read — what a site does well and what you personally should check before depositing. The order follows our overall score; operators without a final score come after.

Spinbetter

One of the largest and best-known gaming hubs worldwide, with an excellent spread of entertainment for every taste and accessible betting limits.

Strength
Accessible table limits and the widest game range here
Watch out
The welcome bonus cannot be cleared with craps bets

Betlabel

A recognisable brand with exactly one craps option — an RNG table. On the plus side, demo mode is available on site, with no separate practice account needed.

Strength
Demo mode available for getting to know the table
Watch out
One craps table only: nothing to switch to if you want a change

22Bet

Two RNG tables in the lobby: not much of a choice, but a choice. On neutral forums players consistently report that the site does not drag its feet on withdrawals.

Strength
A reputation for fast payouts in player reports
Watch out
No live dealer for craps, RNG only

22Casino

An operator with a near-spotless reputation and a welcome bonus on a comparatively soft wagering requirement — 35×, noticeably below the market's usual 40–50×.

Strength
35× wagering — one of the lowest in this shortlist
Watch out
Craps does not count towards wagering, and a crypto deposit earns no bonus at all

1Win

A well-known operator with a broad set of payment options and a clear tilt towards crypto: the welcome crypto bonus is 600% plus 500 free spins against 500% plus 500 free spins for a fiat deposit.

Strength
A 600% crypto bonus — the largest headline figure here
Watch out
The service is unavailable in a number of countries

22Bit

A dedicated crypto casino whose key selling point is the size of its offers: the welcome package reaches 17,000 USDT or the equivalent in other coins.

Strength
A welcome package up to 17,000 USDT
Watch out
A poor fit for fiat payments — the site is built around crypto

Safe Casino

Works exclusively in fiat currencies, which is becoming rare, and positions itself as a safe operator you can rely on.

Strength
Headline bonus amounts larger than its competitors'
Watch out
Supports comparatively few payment methods

Azur Slot

Offers a decent spread of RNG craps from Play'n GO, Platipus, Nucleus and Fazi — no recognised industry leaders, then, but working tables.

Strength
Several different craps providers rather than one
Watch out
A little-known operator, which lowers the level of trust

Below: how our scoring works, where the main trap for a craps player hides in bonus terms, and how to vet a site yourself without relying on anyone’s ranking.

Affiliate links

Casino links on this site are placed under affiliate agreements. That does not affect the ranking order: the score is built from six criteria with fixed weights, and a position cannot be bought. What we check and how we count it is set out in How we rate.

How we decide which craps casinos are best

Calling operators “the best” on the basis of subjective impressions would be dishonest. Instead there is a six-criterion methodology with weights.

CriterionWeightWhat we check
Licence and security25%Who the regulator is, how long the casino has traded, its history of player complaints
Craps tables20%RNG1 and live dealer availability, providers, table limits, odds payouts
Payments20%The set of methods, minimum deposit, real withdrawal speed
Bonuses15%Craps weighting for wagering, fairness of terms, wagering requirements
Usability10%Navigation, mobile version, interface speed
Support10%24/7 availability, live chat, response time

Note that the top row of a ranking does not suit everyone. A site’s average can sag because of a narrow set of payment methods — while for you, what it does offer is plenty. Read the criterion that matters to you, not only the total.

Individual write-ups of all eight operators are in the review block higher up the page. They set out what earned each its position and what you should check personally.

Checking a licence yourself

The licence carries more weight in our scoring than anything else — a quarter of the final score — and it is the one criterion a reader can verify in a couple of minutes without relying on any ranking. A regulator’s logo in the footer is not verification: it is an image, and anyone can draw one.

  1. Look for the line, not the logo. A licensed casino’s footer carries text with a licence number and the name of a legal entity, usually in small type under the copyright.
  2. Open the regulator’s register directly. Type the address by hand or find it through a search engine; following a link from the casino itself proves nothing, since it can lead anywhere.
  3. Check three fields. The company name must match letter for letter, the licence status must be current, and the domain you are on must appear in the list of permitted sites.

The third point is the one people skip and the one that matters most.

What you findWhat it means in practice
A logo only, with no number anywhereNothing to verify: treat it as unlicensed
A number, but a different legal entity in the registerThe licence belongs to another company
The company matches but the domain is absent from the listThe site operates outside its licence
The register shows a status that is not activeSurrendered or revoked — no guarantees remain
Why the domain matters

A regulator only hears complaints about the sites named in the licence itself. The company can be genuine and the licence current while the specific domain sits outside its perimeter. In that situation a payout dispute has nowhere to go: formally the site does not answer to the regulator. The check takes a minute and belongs before registration, not after money is stuck.

Craps bonuses: the main trap

A bonus is a common argument when choosing a casino, and in craps it works worse than anywhere else. Craps-specific promotions barely exist, and an ordinary welcome bonus either cannot be wagered in the game at all or counts bets at around 10%.

TermTypical valueWhat it means for the player
Craps weighting for wagering0–10%Bets barely move the requirement: the bonus is effectively a slots bonus
Wagering30×–50×How many times the bonus has to be turned over before withdrawal
Maximum bet while wagering$5–$10Anything larger does not count towards the requirement at all
Wagering window7–30 daysWhen it expires, both the bonus and anything won with it are gone
Do the arithmetic before you opt in

A $100 bonus with 50× wagering needs $5,000 of turnover — already a lot. If craps counts for 10%, that turnover becomes $50,0002. A gift like that cannot be cleared in principle: it was never meant for your game. Sometimes the right decision is to decline the bonus and play with your own money.

A full breakdown of which promotions a craps player can actually use is on the craps bonuses page.

Types of craps casino

Players are rarely willing to use any casino at all — there is almost always an extra requirement. That is how the categories divide, and we rank each one separately.

Live-dealer casinos

Most operators offer only RNG craps, which makes the few live-craps casinos more valuable. The format is an interactive video stream: a real croupier throws real dice in a studio, players bet on the outcome of each roll and talk in a chat window. It is as close to a land-based pit as anything online gets.

Crypto and Bitcoin casinos

Crypto casinos with craps are valued for more than settling in Bitcoin, USDT or Solana without converting to fiat. More important is the provably fair3 protocol, which lets you confirm that the result of a round was fixed before the house knew about your bet.

Mobile casinos

Craps is a fast game and fits short sessions on the move perfectly. Mobile craps casinos adapt the interface to a small screen so the controls do not sit on top of the layout, and offer either a mobile browser or a dedicated Android and iOS app.

Payments: deposits and withdrawals

Each casino sets its own set of methods based on the markets it serves. Deposits are nearly always instant; withdrawals are a more mixed picture:

  • crypto — usually inside an hour;
  • e-wallets — anywhere from instant to 24 hours;
  • card or bank transfer — 1 to 5 working days, depending on your bank.
The account has to be yours

A licensed casino requires the account, card or wallet to belong to the player personally — that is part of KYC. A deposit from someone else’s card or a withdrawal to someone else’s wallet will almost certainly freeze the payout pending investigation. Check that before your first deposit, not after a win.

A full comparison of methods by fees, limits and timing is on the payments page.

Online craps providers

The benchmark for live tables is Evolution Live Craps, to date effectively the only genuinely successful live craps product in the industry. The same developer offers an RNG version of the same table, First Person Craps, complete with a demo mode.

Craps also appears from the following studios:

  • Playtech
  • Pragmatic Play
  • BetSoft
  • Play’n GO
  • Ezugi
One table for the whole industry

Evolution Live Craps launched in 2020 and has still not acquired a serious competitor. For comparison, live roulette tables number in the dozens. The reason is not demand but staging difficulty: craps needs non-standard equipment, a mechanical arm for the throw, and a considerably longer round.

The list is short, and that reflects the market: craps is harder to build and markedly less mainstream than roulette or blackjack, so few studios invest in it.

How to choose a casino yourself

Seven steps that settle the question without anyone else’s ranking.

  1. Check the licence. MGA (Malta) and UKGC (UK) are excellent. A US state regulator — New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Michigan — is excellent within that state. Curaçao is acceptable. Anjouan is weak. No licence is a red flag and the end of the conversation.
  2. Find proof of auditing. The footer should carry links to GLI, iTech Labs or eCOGRA. A logo with no link to a current certificate means nothing.
  3. Confirm live dealer availability if the format matters to you: live craps is far from universal.
  4. Assess the table limits. Comfortable play starts where a single bet is 1–2% of the bankroll set aside for the session.
  5. Look at the odds and Field payouts. These are the parameters that vary from table to table and that directly move the house edge.
  6. Read the bonus terms for the craps weighting — before registering, not after depositing.
  7. Check the withdrawal methods for limits and timing. A deposit will be accepted almost any way you like; the question is always how the money comes back.
The fastest possible check

Open the table in demo mode and read two lines: the maximum odds multiple and the Field payout on the twelve. A table with 5× odds and a 3:1 Field puts you around 0.37%. A table with 2× odds and a 2:1 Field is three times more expensive under the same rules and the same sign.

Licences: what each one means

The first thing to check, and the only one with no way around it.

Regulator Level of trust What it gives the player
MGA (Malta) High Strict capital and dispute-resolution requirements, a complaints process that works
UKGC (UK) High The toughest advertising and player-protection rules; open only to UK residents
Curaçao Acceptable Basic oversight; quality depends on the individual sub-licensee
Anjouan Weak Minimal requirements and limited scope for player protection
No licence None A red flag: nobody owes the player anything

Online craps versus a land-based pit

What online gives you

  • Minimum bets from $1 against $10–$25 at a live table on a floor
  • A demo mode for risk-free practice — a land-based casino has none
  • Your own pace: nobody hurries your decision between rolls
  • Available around the clock without travelling anywhere

What is lost

  • The atmosphere of a shared table only partly survives, even in live format
  • Live-dealer tables are scarce: effectively one successful title in the whole industry
  • A card withdrawal can take up to five working days

Common questions about craps casinos

Which craps casinos count as the best?
The ones running on a solid licence, with a choice of tables and convenient payment options. For a craps player, three specific items get added to that list: the odds multiple cap, the Field payout on the twelve, and how the game counts towards bonus wagering. Our ranking scores operators against all six criteria in the methodology.
Is it safe to play craps at an online casino?
Yes, provided the site is licensed — ideally by Malta (MGA) or the UK (UKGC), acceptably by Curaçao. A further sign of reliability is a relationship with independent auditors: GLI, iTech Labs or eCOGRA. Check the working link to a current certificate rather than the logo in the footer — anybody can draw a logo.
Do casino bonuses work for craps?
Generally badly. At some casinos bonuses cannot be wagered with craps bets at all; at the rest the game counts for around 10% of turnover. A $100 bonus with 50× wagering at that weighting requires $50,000 of craps action — not realistically clearable. The rare exception is a promotion designed specifically for table games.
What are typical craps betting limits?
The minimum is usually $1 to $25 and depends on the casino and the individual table: RNG tables sit lower, live-dealer tables higher. Maximums at high-roller tables can reach $5,000 or more. Aim for a single bet to be 1–2% of the bankroll you have set aside for the session.
Can you play craps with a live dealer?
Yes, but the choice is extremely limited. The industry effectively has one genuinely successful table — Evolution Live Craps — and it is far from present at every casino. The same developer offers an RNG clone, First Person Craps, which does have a demo mode. We keep a separate list of sites carrying live craps.
How fast do withdrawals arrive?
Crypto is quickest — arrival within the hour is the norm. E-wallets range from instant to 24 hours. A card withdrawal can take up to five working days, and that depends on your bank rather than the casino. The first withdrawal is nearly always the slowest: it coincides with verification.
Why is the top-ranked casino not right for everyone?
Because the final score is built from six criteria with different weights, and a site can lose points on something that does not matter to you. A casino with a narrow set of payment methods gives up 20% of its score — but if your method is supported, that drawback does not exist for you. Read the criterion that matters to you, not just the total.

Notes

  1. A random number generator (RNG) is the computer algorithm replacing both the croupier and the physical dice. At responsible operators it carries certification from an independent laboratory.
  2. A worked example: a $100 bonus with 50× wagering requires $5,000 of betting turnover. If the terms state that craps counts for 10%, the required turnover rises to $50,000 — a bonus that cannot be cleared in this game at all.
  3. Provably fair is a protocol under which the player receives an encrypted confirmation, before the round, that the result has already been determined. After the round that confirmation is checked with a calculator — built into the casino interface or third-party — and shows that the house did not adjust to the player's actions.
